The weather turned a bit cooler today (felt like May rather than July). Most of it was spent lounging around. Early evening we all headed out to run a few errands and grab some yummy Mexican food for dinner (yay Groupon!). Here’s what I wore:

So apparently, this is an all Target ensamble! Damn! I need to diversify!

Three states, three Jason Wu for Target pieces! A quick stop at a Target in Knoxville this weekend helped me score the Navy polka-dot blouse.
Honestly, I wasn’t even looking but when I walked around a corner there was this blouse and the dress I already purchased at my local Target. I probably wouldn’t have purchased another piece unless it had been one of the dresses I am totally in love with or the black cat tote, but my current obsession with polka-dots left me unable to resist (I already have this blouse in blush which I wore to an interview).
All I have to say is… Wu-hoo!

I took a chance today for my 2nd interview and did not wear red. I know, I know… Red is my lucky interview color but I desperately wanted to wear a little Jason Wu. So here is what I wore today…
Blouse: Jason Wu for Target

Belt: Target (with much love to double stick Scotch tape for keeping the end in place)

While in Michigan this weekend I popped into a Target just to I spy if there were any Jason Wu pieces left. I was thrilled to pick up the blouse with tie in blush dots.
I plan to pair this blouse with a blush colored cardigan and belt with gray slacks and berry colored suede boots for my 2nd interview. My hope is that this look is stylish and professional.

I have been dreaming about the Jason Wu Collection for Target for 6 months. As excited as I was for the Missoni line, Jason Wu is more my style. I was only able to snag one Missoni piece – an oversized felted hat which looks tres chic with large sunglasses but not extremely practical for daily wear.
There was much that I liked about what Missoni created for Target; however, I felt the design lacked imagination. Each piece was nearly identical with the same zig zag pattern. It was just too much. I fell in love with a handful of items and was disappointed at how unavailable the collection was to most consumers. There is nothing I want so desperately that I will pay triple the original price on ebay.
Jason Wu’s collection has the flow and variety that a woman craves. It feels like an actual collection one would see on a runway with pieces ranging from casual to dressy work wear. His clothes are fresh, yet classy and make a woman feel feminine, stylish but not overdone. The line appeared in stores and online beginning Sunday and it is my own fault that I waited until Monday afternoon to get to a store. I counted 4 pieces left. This was my purchase…
It fits and is very well made but I’m not sure I am in love. The $39.99 price tag is beyond reasonable but I don’t know…

While I know the bag is sold out, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Uncle Sam giddyaps on that tax return before the dresses are gone too.
